[RESOLVED] Inches to hundredths of an inch
How would I convert three five/8" (iii.625") to hundredths of an inch?
Would it be 3625 or 0.03625?

Re: Inches to hundredths of an inch
Since the original number due south 3.625 ... the resulting conversion would exist 362.5/100 making 362.5 your answer.-tg

Re: Inches to hundredths of an inch
More generally, if you know conversion factors, information technology's easy to catechumen units in general: multiply by "1" repeatedly. Here, y'all know one" = 100 hundredths of an inch, and then one = 1" / 100 hundredths of an inch, so
3.625" = 3.625" * ane = iii.625" * 100 hundredths of an inch / ane" = 3.625*100 hundredths = 362.5 hundredths of an inch [the "s in the top and bottom cancel just like normal fractions].
The time you relish wasting is non wasted fourth dimension.

Ok, so at present I call up I accept this chart all filled out, I concluded upwards using google to catechumen from milimeters to inches.
The 100th of an inch column has to be a whole number (no decimals) so I truncated the answer at the decimal place after moving it ii spots to the right.Code:
Inches Millimeters 100th of an inch Height Width Height Width Meridian Width iii v/8 half dozen one/two 362 650 3 7/8 8 7/eight 387 887 4 1/8 9 1/2 412 950 4 1/ii 10 three/8 450 1037 4 3/iv 11 475 1100 v eleven one/2 500 1150 250 350 984 1377 176 250 692 984 125 176 492 692 324 458 1275 1803 229 324 901 1275 162 229 637 901 114 162 448 637 114 229 448 901 110 220 433 866 220 310 866 1220 155 220 610 866 110 155 433 610 110 220 433 866 110 230 433 905 155 223 610 877 112 223 440 877 3 vii/8 7 1/2 387 750 viii 1/2 14 850 1400 viii i/ii xi 850 1100
